Beauty Blog: NYX Stay Matte but not Flat Powder Foundation in Natural

Shade: SMP 03 Natural

So I just got this powder, so I can't really do much of a review on this product, but I wanted to post up some pictures of this shade. Cherry Culture recently did a sale on several NYX products, plus they had a 20% off coupon code, so I ordered several NYX products that I've been wanting to try.

I will say that when I opened this, I was surpised. The packaging is unnecessarily large and bulky, especially for 7.5 grams of product. But I do absolutely love the mirror, its nice and large and is one I might actually use if I ever carry this thing around for touchups. It does come with a sponge underneath the powder, but I doubt I will ever use it. The sponge also seems to have a strong chemical type smell to it that I don't like.

As for the shade, I will say that I am impressed that this shade has nice yellow undertones. I really like that in a powder because I'm asian and I have really strong yellow undertones in my skin. Any makeup that doesn't have similar undertones just looks ridiculously unnatural on my face. I actually used this powder for the first time this morning (because I just received it in the mail yesterday) and I will say that the coverage is a lot sheerer than I had expected for a powder FOUNDATION. But nonetheless, it blended really really well into my skin and it felt amazingly soft.
